Michigan basketball to be featured in docuseries on Paramount
· Yahoo Sports
This Michigan basketball season has felt like like something out of Hollywood – and it turns out Hollywood agrees (sort of).
The Wolverines are one of two college programs – along with Kansas - that will be featured in a four-part docuseries on Paramount (CBS's streaming service), according to a release. The series will be produced by Paramount Sports Entertainment and Religion of Sports, a media company founded by Michigan alumnus Tom Brady, NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan and film producer Gotham Chopra.

"The series will feature unprecedented off-court access, exclusive game footage and interviews, and coverage of key regular‑season, conference and postseason matchups in the Big 12 and Big Ten," according to a news release from Paramount.
The first three episodes are slated to be released during the first weekend of April – right when the Wolverines hope they'll be playing for a national title. The fourth episode is scheduled to drop on Paramount on April 18.
No. 2 Michigan (23-1, 13-1 Big Ten) is off to its best start in program history and heads into its game against another visitor from Hollywood – UCLA – on Saturday (12:45 p.m., CBS) holding a two-game lead in league play.
The Wolverines are on a nine-game winning streak, with eight of those coming by double figures. Five Wolverines are scoring in double figures, with eight are averaging at least 7.7 points or more.
It's this balance and depth that has Michigan in prime position for a 1-seed in next month's NCAA Tournament as the Wolverines hunt for the program's first national title since 1989 and second overall.
“In today’s college basketball environment, it’s not easy to build real connection,” Michigan coach Dusty May said in a statement. “This group has done that and there’s something special about who they are and where they’re headed.
"For the first time ever, this project gives fans an all-access look at Michigan Basketball as we push toward March.”
