Joey Porter is clearly not a fan of Ben Roethlisberger.

The Pittsburgh Steelers legend, whose son now plays for the Steelers, eviscerated his former teammate on Cam Heyward’s podcast this week, calling out his past transgressions and criticizing him for all of his Pittsburgh talk on his “Footbahlin” podcast.

“Seven definitely broke the brotherhood. The (expletive) that seven do, did, that we don’t talk about is crazy,” Porter said. “He should never grab a microphone and talk Steeler business. Because if we’re talking Steeler business, his (expletive) is foul of all foul…He’s not a good teammate. Won a Super Bowl with him. But the person, he’s just not a good teammate.”

“He knows that. Everybody in the Steeler building knows that, but we protected him. Because I’ve only won one Super Bowl, and that was my quarterback,” Porter continued.

Porter and Roethlisberger played three seasons together, winning a Super Bowl during the 2005 campaign. After Porter left the Steelers, Roethlisberger was accused of two sexual assault allegations. He later settled a lawsuit and served a four-game suspension during the 2010 season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

Roethlisberger returned to Pittsburgh following his suspension and played there through the 2021 season, finishing his career with six Pro Bowl appearances and two Super Bowl rings. While he had a lot of success on the field and has attempted to repair his image since then, his off-field issues made him unpopular among many fans and players, including Porter, apparently.
