By now, it’s pretty clear that Michael Chandler will not be fighting Conor McGregor at the UFC White House event in June.

As predicted.

It sounds like Chandler has finally accepted that reality and has now set his sights on the winner of Max Holloway vs. Charles Oliveira, who collide for the Hawaiian’s “BMF” belt atop the UFC 326 fight card next month in Las Vegas.

“I got my eye on that one, because I think Max gets the win,” Chandler recently told MMA Junkie. “I think Oliveira is coming off a pretty devastating knockout and turned around real quick, jumped into another training camp. I got my eyes set on that BMF belt if Max wins, so we’ll see.”

Oliveira is coming off a second-round submission win over Mateusz Gamrot at UFC Rio.

The 39 year-old Chandler is the one coming off a devastating knockout loss, getting pounded into oblivion by Paddy Pimblett as part of the UFC 314 fight card last April.

I’m sure “Iron” would like the silver around Holloway’s waist … but I can think of a better “BMF” fight for UFC White House.
