With Terrell Jennings returning to IR, who will be Patriots No. 3 RB?
· Yahoo Sports
Despite clearing concussion protocol, New England Patriots running back Terrell Jennings had his practice clock expire on Wednesday. As a result, he has reverted to injured reserve, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.
That means D’Ernest Johnson will be elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s Super Bowl matchup against the Seattle Seahawks to serve as the third running back behind Rhamondre Stephenson and TreVeyon Henderson.

This ensures that RB D’Ernest Johnson will be elevated from the practice squad for Super Bowl LX as RB3 behind Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson.
It's a tough break for Jennings, who broke through as the No. 3 option after the team lost veteran running back Antonio Gibson for the season with an ACL injury.
Johnson provides added reinforcements against a Seahawks team that has the third-best run defense in the NFL.
