1. Trae Young / Washington / Player Option

When he's healthy, he's one of the better offensive point guards in the league, with great quickness and vision as a playmaker, but most importantly, the ability to make tough shots from all over the floor, and from deep, too. He's not much of a defender, though, and that's putting it kindly, and he hasn't been able to be hugely impactful in the win department in quite some time, either. His decision on his player option this summer is a bit interesting, as he could be owed roughly $49 million if he opts in. Would any team offer him more than that on an annual average value after the last couple of seasons he's had?

  • 2025/26 stats: 17.9 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 8.0 apg, 0.9 spg, 45.8 FG%, 33.8 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $46,394,100
  • Career earnings: $192,825,403
  • Agent: Aaron Mintz, Austin Brown, Andrew Morrison, Rayford Young

2. James Harden / Cleveland / Player Options

A surprising midseason move sent him from Los Angeles to Cleveland. The Cavaliers reportedly have big plans this offseason that could include a franchise legend possibly returning, and we expect Harden to likewise be a part of those plans. Although he's getting older, his game is aging almost shockingly well, which not many expected. Still an excellent tough-shot-maker and a visionary playmaker.

3. Coby White / Charlotte

Quick point guard with great change-of-direction and pace skills, who can get to the basket to finish, hit pull-up jumpers or nail shots from deep beyond the arc. He's also a solid distributor. Overall, he's done well to develop into an entertaining, effective scoring lead guard.

  • 2025/26 stats: 17.8 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 4.3 apg, 0.6 spg, 44.6 FG%, 35.6 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $12,888,889
  • Career earnings: $59,799,820
  • Agent: Ty Sullivan

4. Fred VanVleet / Houston / Player Option

There are questions about how he'll look upon returning from an ACL tear, especially at 31 years of age. Will he even opt out of the final year of his contract without much - or any - of a sample size for 2025-26 as he recovers from injury? Either way, when healthy, he's a bulldog of a point guard who makes a two-way, steady impact.

  • 2025/26 stats: -
  • 2025/26 earnings: $25,000,000
  • Career earnings: $190,203,782
  • Agent: Rich Paul, Erika Ruiz

5. Collin Sexton / Chicago

A high-energy point guard who plays with a ton of effort on both ends. Can hit pull-up jumpers, spot-up threes and finish with craft around the basket. At least tries on the defensive end, even if the results aren't always great.

  • 2025/26 stats: 15.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 3.3 apg, 1.0 spg, 48.7 FG%, 40.1 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $18,975,000
  • Career earnings: $91,027,301
  • Agent: Rich Paul

6. Collin Gillespie / Phoenix

Had a breakout 2025-26 season at the perfect time, as he's set to hit unrestricted free agency this summer. Confident bucket-getting lead guard with some flashy playmaking skills and the ability to hit tough shots off of pull-up attempts.

  • 2025/26 stats: 13.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 4.8 apg, 1.3 spg, 42.6 FG%, 41.3 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $2,378,870
  • Career earnings: $2,431,963
  • Agent: James Dunleavy

7. Russell Westbrook / Sacramento

Even at 37, still putting up strong numbers, albeit on one of the worst teams in the league. Will a contender pick him up this summer with hopes he can provide an impact off the bench? Or will a rebuilding team be interested as a locker-room leader?

  • 2025/26 stats: 15.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 6.7 apg, 1.3 spg, 42.7 FG%, 33.8 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $3,634,153
  • Career earnings: $349,531,249
  • Agent: Jeff Schwartz

8. Kevin Porter Jr. / Milwaukee / Player Option

A lock to opt out of the final year of his deal after the season he's having, arguably the best of his career. Good playmaker and shot-maker from the midrange who also rebounds for a guard and can cause some havoc defensively. A little inefficient as a three-point shooter is his one knock.

  • 2025/26 stats: 17.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 7.4 apg, 2.2 spg, 0.5 bpg, 46.5 FG%, 32.2 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $5,134,000
  • Career earnings: $32,370,130
  • Agent: Sam Permut

9. Kris Dunn / LA Clippers / Team Option

One of the best guard defenders in the league to this day. Super quick feet laterally and strong, making it difficult for opposing guards to drive on him. Excellent rebounder for his position and improved as a three-point shooter. 36-plus percent from three over the past four seasons.

  • 2025/26 stats: 7.5 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.6 apg, 1.6 spg, 47.6 FG%, 37.4 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $5,426,400
  • Career earnings: $41,419,532
  • Agent: Austin Brown

10. Jordan Goodwin / Phoenix / Team Option

Athletic lead guard with two-way chops thanks to his defending. Not a super playmaker but can score off the dribble and hit open threes.

  • 2025/26 stats: 8.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.1 apg, 1.5 spg, 40.8 FG%, 35.5 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $3,697,105
  • Career earnings: $62,720,819
  • Agent: Shayaun Saee, Mike George

11. Jose Alvarado / New York / Player Option

Bulldog defender who can be an absolute pest on the defensive end, and even get into the mind of opponents. Picks up steals in a multitude of ways. Respectable shooter from beyond the arc, too.

  • 2025/26 stats: 7.1 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 3.3 apg, 0.9 spg, 40.9 FG%, 34.7 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $4,500,000
  • Career earnings: $11,488,212
  • Agent: Austin Brown, Maxwell Saidman

12. Tyus Jones / Dallas

Had an almost inexplicable drop-off in 2025-26, at a tough time, too, considering he's set to hit unrestricted free agency. He'll be in his age-30 season next year, so he will probably get another NBA shot, but his output was poor in '26, to put it kindly.

  • 2025/26 stats: 2.9 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 2.4 apg, 0.6 spg, 34.6 FG%, 27.7 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $7,000,000
  • Career earnings: $71,559,843
  • Agent: Kevin Bradbury

13. Brandon Williams / Dallas

Coming off the best season of his career, luckily for him, as he's about to his unrestricted free agency. Athletic point guard with a smooth feel for the game.

  • 2025/26 stats: 12.7 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 3.8 apg, 0.9 spg, 47.0 FG%, 24.0 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $2,270,735
  • Career earnings: $2,397,649
  • Agent: Derek Lafayette, Curtis Lawrence, Fess Irvin

14. Daniss Jenkins / Detroit / Team Option

Broke out this season in Detroit as an off-the-dribble scoring lead guard with some playmaking and defensive capabilities. The Pistons very likely won't let him hit free agency this summer.

  • 2025/26 stats: 8.7 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 3.5 apg, 0.9 spg, 41.1 FG%, 37.9 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $4,169,843
  • Career earnings: $4,215,526
  • Agent: Derek Jackson, Nick Blatchford

15. D'Angelo Russell / Washington / Player Option

Will enter free agency coming off back-to-back poor seasons. Probably looking at a vet minimum this summer, or perhaps a move overseas to regain confidence.

  • 2025/26 stats: 10.2 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 4.0 apg, 0.5 spg, 40.5 FG%, 29.5 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $5,685,000
  • Career earnings: $180,823,166
  • Agent: Aaron Mintz, Austin Brown

16. Ryan Nembhard / Dallas

Nice playmaker, putting up a high amount of assists per minute. Solid three-point shooter, too, giving him the makings of a player with a potentially long NBA future.

  • 2025/26 stats: 6.2 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 4.9 apg, 0.4 spg, 41.9 FG%, 38.1 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $636,435
  • Career earnings: $636,435
  • Agent: Jaafar Choufani

17. Mike Conley / Minnesota

Could be headed towards retirement this summer. Mostly on a roster at this point due to his locker-room leadership, which is important in its own right.

  • 2025/26 stats: 4.1 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 3.0 apg, 0.6 spg, 31.2 FG%, 30.3 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $1,357,586
  • Career earnings: $309,867,641
  • Agent: Steve Heumann, Jessica Holtz

18. Cole Anthony

Confident bucket-getter who can score in isolation. Solid crossover and first step, and can knock down shots on pull-ups and off the dribble.

  • 2025/26 stats: 6.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 3.5 apg, 0.6 spg, 0.3 bpg, 42.4 FG%, 30.6 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $2,667,947
  • Career earnings: $35,207,415
  • Agent: Jeff Schwartz, Javon Phillips

19. Craig Porter Jr. / Cleveland / Team Option

Solid backup guard type who can run a secondary offense, hit some threes and create some plays.

  • 2025/26 stats: 4.4 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.2 apg, 0.9 spg, 0.6 bpg, 44.4 FG%, 36.1 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $2,221,677
  • Career earnings: $5,613,534
  • Agent: Ryan Straining

20. De'Anthony Melton / Golden State / Player Option

Great backcourt defender thanks to his quickness and strength. Plays with great energy on both ends. Good slasher, inconsistent three-point shooter.

21. Gabe Vincent / Atlanta

Hasn't been able to find that level he had in Miami. Can hit shots with his feet set from three, as well as some pull-up jumpers.

  • 2025/26 stats: 4.4 ppg, 1.0 rpg, 1.4 apg, 0.5 spg, 34.3 FG%, 33.3 3P%
  • 2025/26 earnings: $11,500,000
  • Career earnings: $37,587,948
  • Agent: Bill Neff
