This Duke vs LSU game was without question the best college basketball Tournament game of the day, regardless of Men's or Women's. The game started off slow. The score to start was 2-0 for almost five minutes.

From there, Duke stayed aggressive and maintained a 2-10 point lead for most of the game. LSU would make small runs, but for the most part Duke had a counter for ever proverbial punch LSU had to throw. Until midway through the 3rd quarter when LSU began to chip away at Duke's lead.

Everyting about the last five minutes of the game would suggest LSU had regained momentum and were ready to take the lead. They finally did in the final minute. With only nine seconds remaining, the game would have three more possessions. In the end it came down to the final play with only two seconds on the clock.

Ashlon Jackson, who could have added two free throws to extend Duke's lead to 3 but missed both, would have her hero moment. With Flau'jae Johnson fighting through screen traffic, Williams got the pass on the elbow with no time to waste. She side stepped a lunging Johnson and shot a three. The ball circled, round and round the rim before dropping in as time ran out. Duke defeated LSU to advance to the Elite Eight.

Duke moves onto play UCLA in the Regional 2 final. The winner punches their ticket to the Final Four.

Duke advances to the Elite Eight.

Ashlon Jackson, who missed consecutive free throws earlier in the 4th, fought through screens and eventually gets the ball. With next to no time left, Jackson side stepped Flau'jae Johnson and lets it fly. The ball circled the rim for what felt like a solid minute before dropping in as the buzzer sounded. Game over. Williams sinks both free throws to go up one. LSU leads Duke 85-84. Duke calls a timeout to advance the ball.

4th Quarter - 0:19

Flau'jae committed a foul in the one situation where they did not want to foul. Kim Mulkey is beside herself following that mental error. Ashlon Jackson headed to line for two free throws that would have put Duke up by three. She missed both. Duke leads LSU 84-83, under 20 seconds and LSU has the ball.

4th Quarter - 0:35

Fulwiley gets a steal and attempts to run coast to coast but went for the layup facing two Duke defenders missing the shot. Had that gone in, LSU would have retaken the lead. Duke leads LSU 84-83.

4th Quarter - 1:27

Don't tell these players this is just another game. Flau'jae Johnson just risked it all going for loose ball and ended up in the laps of the people sitting at the scorers' table. Duke inbounds the ball and struggles to get into their set. Flau'jae draws the charge, possession goes the other way. LSU scores. Duke leads LSU 84-83.

4th Quarter - 2:48

This game is far from over. After being down 8-12 for the last few minutes, LSU has pulled to within five. This will come down to who executes better in the last couple minutes.

4th Quarter - 5:10

Since the start of the 4th quarter Duke has gone on a 15-4 run. They are still having success going inside to Fournier. However, Taina Mair has been quietly making a big difference from beyond the arc where she has shot 50%. Most of those threes coming in critical moments, allowing Duke to maintain their lead. Which is now a 10-point lead. Duke leads LSU 83-73.

4th Quarter - 8:37

The scoring back and forth continues. Right about the time it begins to seem that Duke was content to trade twos, Ashlon Jackson fakes the defender for midrange two instead of the three she lined up for. Then followed that up with a steal by Delaney Thomas on the other end resulting in an and one on the other end. Duke leads LSU 72-67.

3rd Quarter - 2:28

After LSU took the lead it only last a moment. Duke regained the lead and the teams have been essentially trading baskets for the last few minutes. Duke leads LSU 63-61.

3rd Quarter - 6:25

Just shy of the midway point of the 3rd quarter, LSU gets its first lead since the score was 2-0. Fulwiley took the ball from the top of the key and drove hard, wrapping around a defender for a bucket and the foul. LSU now leads Duke 53-52.

3rd Quarter - 8:54

For the first time in the game LSU looks like the aggressor. Flau'jae Johnson, who shot 1 for 7 in the first half, is more of a factor in the early part of the second half. MiLaysia Fulwiley who scored 16 off the bench, got the second half start for LSU.

End of the 1st Half

Duke leads LSU at halftime by a score of 47-40. The Blue Devils will need to 'lock it in' in the second half as LSU has gained momentum in the final five minutes in the half. Duke cannot stay comfortable and needs to continue to remain the aggressor.

2nd Quarter - 1:52

LSU has cut into the lead with timely three point shooting. However, Duke is still getting production inside. LSU is making it difficult in the paint, but Duke has not been deterred. Duke leads LSU 44-40.

2nd Quarter - 5:23

2nd Quarter - 9:18

LSU is converting at a much better clip, but Duke is still the aggressor. They are pushing the ball whenever possible and getting high percentage shots. Despite being the worst free throw shooting team in the Sweet 16, Duke is 100% from the line. Duke leads LSU 26-21.

1st Quarter - 2:56

The scoring has increased. Both teams are converting difficult possessions. In a surprising turn of events, Duke is having their way inside. LSU does not yet have an answer for the Duke High-Low approach. There have been a couple 'chippy' moments but everything within reason. Duke leads LSU 19-12.

1st Quarter - 5:44
