Watch: Multiple Notre Dame star impress during Pro Day
· Yahoo Sports
For some Notre Dame stars, it was an important Tuesday in the middle of March, as the Irish had their Pro Day.
Teams from the NFL traveled to South Bend to get a close look at Notre Dame’s stars, and many of them put up some impressive testing numbers. Remember, this is similar to the combine, not everything that the players did looks like football, but teams analyze the data to figure out who fits them the best.

The Irish had sixteen draft eligible players participating, and one that could get drafted next year there as well. Check out some of the highlights shared on social media of Notre Dame’s Pro Day.

Love didn’t need to participate, as he’s already viewed as a top prospect and will most likely get taken very early in the first round. Regardless of that, he was there to speak with teams and root on his teammates.

Rubio missed multiple games with injuries, so to see him being healthy and putting up 26 reps on the bench was very encouraging. When he’s on the field, he can be a difference maker, and his strength stands out.
Will Pauling with a extremely impressive vertical jump

Pauling didn’t get an invite to the combine, so Pro Day was huge for him. The vertical jump shows how explosive an athlete is, and with a 42-inch jump, which would have been the No. 2 wide receiver attempt at the combine, was a huge number to put up.

The taller Smith jumped higher than Pauling, but due to his height, the jump wouldn’t have place him in the top-5. He was right outside it at No. 6 compared to player at the combine, still a very impressive jump.

Will Pauling had quite the day, not just his vertical jump but also his 40-yard dash was jaw-dropping. It’s hard to say how much he moved up draft boards, but he surely made many teams much more aware of his skill set.

With no draft-eligible quarterback among the group, Notre Dame had to bring someone to throw balls to the receivers and running backs, who better than Carr? While he’s not able to get drafted this year, he will be next, and NFL teams got a sneak peak at his ability. Not to overshadow the quarterback, Price wanted to show organizations that he can catch the ball as well, and it looks like he accomplished that mission on this rep.
