According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, the Giants are bringing in former Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Shelby Harris for a free-agent visit.

"Veteran DL Shelby Harris is visiting the Giants today, sources say," Garafolo said. "The 11-year veteran, still going strong after playing all 17 games for the Browns last season, is an option for John Harbaugh & Co. to add experience up front on defense."

This isn't the first contact the Giants have had with Harris, as Art Stapleton of NorthJersey.com reports the two sides spoke last week.

"Heard Giants were talking to Shelby Harris since the end of last week and now a visit," Stapleton wrote on X.

Harris, 34, has made 89 career starts over 11 seasons in the NFL.

Before spending time with the Browns the past three seasons, he previously played for the Raiders, Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks.

In 2025, he appeared in all 17 games for the Browns, making five starts. He posted one sack, 32 combined tackles, seven tackles for loss, five QB hits and four passes defensed.

According to Pro Football Focus, he posted a 60.8 pass-rush grade, a 64.4 run-defense grade and a 61.9 overall grade.

The Giants were rumored to be interested in defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers earlier in the offseason before he signed a big deal with the Tennessee Titans, which showed they were in the market for help upfront.

At the very least, Big Blue could use more depth upfront for a group headlined by star nose tackle Dexter Lawrence.

Harris has experience playing multiple spots upfront, so he'd be a strong fit for New York.
