When it came to the Boston Red Sox, the article identified Boston's arrival at the knowledge that Roman Anthony is ready for stardom.
"Considering that Anthony took just 257 at-bats before his season-ending oblique injury in 2025, the expectations heading into this season feel rather high, even for a player with such immense talent," the article read. "But when Anthony was added to Team USA for the World Baseball Classic, he couldn't have been more comfortable in the spotlight, belting two key home runs and being named the left fielder for the All-Tournament team. With a keen batting eye, raw power and solid defensive skills, the 21-year-old appears ready to become one of MLB’s most impactful stars."

Called up last June, Anthony hit .292 with 75 hits, eight home runs, 32 RBI and an .859 OPS in 2025. He finished third in American League Rookie of the Year voting despite the aforementioned oblique strain.
Anthony posted a .318 batting average and seven RBI in six games at the WBC. His go-ahead solo home run in the semifinals against the Dominican Republic propelled the Americans to the final, where they lost 3-2 to Venezuela.
Drafted in the second round by Boston in 2022, Anthony has quickly developed into a franchise cornerstone after signing a long-term extension. He stands ready to anchor the lineup as the leadoff hitter in 2026.
