Quentin Coleman drops 50 points in Principia's MSHSAA championship win
· Yahoo Sports
On March 7, it was reported that star senior guard Quentin Coleman had been released from his National Letter of Intent with Wake Forest. With just a few games to go in Principia's (St. Louis, MO) postseason run, Coleman eyed his final opportunities to show off to scouts in the market for a four-star shooting guard.
Said scouts need to look no further. In the Missouri Class 3 championship game on Saturday, Coleman dropped 50 points, single-handedly outscoring opponent Miller Career Academy (St. Louis, MO) to lead the Panthers to a dominant 98-34 win.

He did so in only 26 minutes of action. Coleman shot 18-for-21 from the field and made five of the seven 3-pointers he attempted, along with all nine free throws, according to MaxPreps. He filled out the box score with a healthy eight rebounds, seven steals and three assists.

No Missouri team could touch Principia, which finished 29-2 without a loss to an in-state opponent. The Panthers outscored competition by an average of 28 points per game, and defeated very strong out-of-state teams, including Columbus (Miami, FL), Wheeler (Marietta, GA), and Bartlett (TN), all of whom are in or have been in the Super 25 national rankings this season.
As such, Principia has been a mainstay in the upper part of the rankings, and was No. 7 in the most recent release of the USA TODAY Sports Super 25.
Much of this success has been due to Coleman, who has emerged over the last year as one of the top guard recruits in the nation. Ranked as the No. 5 SG and No. 34 overall on 247Sports for the class of 2026, the 6-foot-4 guard broke the 50/40/90 scale, shooting an incredible 64.9% from the field, 50.6% from 3 and 89.7% from the free throw line, according to MaxPreps.
His counting stats were 23.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.7 steals per game.
With his recruitment open once again, Coleman will look at other programs. He currently has 16 offers, according to 247Sports — but it wouldn't be shocking if a couple more teams get an offer in at the buzzer.
