The Indianapolis Colts have been players in free agency, as many expected, but it is the future of quarterback Daniel Jones that has taken headlines over the past 48 hours.
With the Colts placing the transition tag on Jones, the franchise and their quarterback are currently working towards a long-term deal.
But it is here where things have gone sideways and in a big way.
With reports that the Colts offered Jones a contract similar to Sam Darnold's in Seattle (three years, $100.5 million), Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer is suggesting that Jones wants far more than that.
How much more? $50 million per season.

Colts can't pay Jones $50 million
That is serious money to a quarterback who had one good season, plus is coming off an Achilles injury as well.
Thanks, but no thanks.
Insider Jordan Schultz has reported that the Colts and Jones have "made progress" toward a long-term deal, but nothing is set in stone.
If Jones is truly asking for $50 million per season, we aren't sure the Colts will be willing to part ways with such money.
You are valued at what the market says you are, and right now, it is hard to believe Jones is worth $50 million a season.
