He said he chose Bradwell because of the community and the support. He thought it was a good situation for his family.

Adams said he met with a few players, but his focus right now is getting in the weight room and then focusing on spring football.

“We’re going to take it a day a time,” Adams said. “Just getting better each and every day. Just building men as well, both on and off the field as well.”

He said he does not see Bradwell as a rebuild, but a win-now program.

“It’s always a win-now,” Adams said. “You have to focus on where your feet are. I think right now is really what I’m focused on. We have seniors here and I’m focused on that group and just developing and taking it one week at a time.”

Next season, Bradwell moves up to Class AAAAAA. Region 1 will likely not be an easy one with teams like Brunswick, Glynn Academy and Effingham County.

“I haven’t really taken a look at the region,” Adams said. “I’m a coach that is expecting to win and you always have an opportunity. Just trying to get better this summer and in the spring and change the mindset of our games and I think we will be fine.”

Bradwell Institute has not had a winning season since 2017. They have not made the playoffs since 2019.
