Inter Milan 2-0 Genoa – Italian Media Praise Nerazzurri MOTM But Hit Out At Struggling France Star
· Yahoo Sports
Federico Dimarco and Marcus Thuram sit at opposite ends of Inter Milan’s player ratings after the 2-0 victory over Genoa, with Gazzetta dello Sport handing the Italian wing-back a glowing 7.5 while delivering a scathing verdict on the Frenchman’s continued poor form.
Dimarco was the undisputed star of the show, scoring another stunning goal.

Indeed, it was his sixth of the Serie A campaign, to open the scoring at San Siro.
Gazzetta were effusive in their praise, via FCInterNews, describing the moment with colour and warmth.
“The smile of Arianna Fontana at the side of the pitch is his reward,” they wrote, adding that he “disintegrates the grumbling” with another goal that left spectators rubbing their eyes in disbelief.
It was another reminder, if one were needed, of just how irreplaceable Dimarco has become to this Inter side.

Thuram, however, continues to struggle.
Gazzetta awarded him just a 5 and pulled no punches in their assessment.
“He is not there, he cannot be found anymore,” the outlet wrote.
“He disappoints in performance and in attitude. He has been in hibernation for many weeks now. Will he wake up in the better season?”
It is a damning verdict on a player who was so influential earlier in the campaign.
Chivu earned a 6.5 for making four changes from the Bodo lineup and extracting exactly the reaction he needed.
Gazzetta noted that “the Scudetto is now within sight” as Inter extended their lead with a record-breaking eighth consecutive league win.
Luis Henrique, Calhanoglu and Mkhitaryan shared that same 6.5 mark.
Meanwhile the overall squad rating of 6.5 reflects a professional if not spectacular collective performance from Inter.
