The IndyCar Series season rolls off the starting line today with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Fla., a 100-lap race on a 1.8-mile, 14-turn circuit. Scott McLaughlin starts from the pole position, with Marcus Ericsson beside him on the front row. Dale Coyne Racing had a strong qualifying effort, with rookie Dennis Hauger 3rd and Romain Grosjean 6th. Alex Palou — who is seeking his fourth consecutive drivers' championship and second straight win at St. Pete — qualified 4th.
