The Baltimore Orioles came into the 2025 season generating a ton of hype. They finished the 2024 season as the second-best team in the AL East, trailing the New York Yankees.

However, it would be a hard fall from grace. They could not get anything going last year, finishing with a record of 75-87, which ranked them last in the division.
The team would love to do nothing more than put the 2025 season behind them, and luckily for them, the front office was hard at work during the winter months, trying to bring this club back to relevance.

Fans should be prepared for a much different season this year. The front office made it its mission to go out and find quality players to acquire and help turn things around.
Some of their notable acquisitions include Taylor Ward, Shane Baz, Ryan Helsley, Chris Bassitt, and Pete Alonso.
As you can see, the team did not just focus on one area. They got some hitters and pitchers, and playing in a tough division like the AL East, they need all the help they can get.
Baltimore will look to go from last place in the division to first place, something the Toronto Blue Jays did last year, per Bleacher Report's Tim Kelly.
"The AL East is baseball's most competitive division, but in Craig Albernaz's first season as manager, the Orioles have a chance to do what the Blue Jays did last year—go from worst to first."
Now, Baltimore will certainly have their hands full with the Blue Jays, New York Yankees, and Boston Red Sox. But, on paper, the O's have enough to potentially be crowned the AL East champions for the first time since the 2023 season.
