The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are likely still trying to figure out what went wrong in 2025.

After starting the year 5-1, many thought the Buccaneers were on a path towards the Super Bowl.

But the wheels fell off, and an 8-9 record and second position in the NFC South followed, leaving Tampa Bay in a crumpled heap.

Now, as we look ahead to 2026, in CBS Sports' R.J. White's latest piece, we see that DraftKings has the win projection set at 8.5, and it also has Tampa winning the division as well.

Can Buccaneers bounce back?

Well, offensively, they have the talent to, right?

Even last season, the second-half slide was just weird. Now, with some coaching changes and the possibility of Mike Evans playing elsewhere, it could be a different-looking Bucs team in 2026.

But there's still firepower on offense, and we think the defense should improve if the franchise can add a quality pass rusher to its ranks.

Considering how the Buccaneers' 2025 season played out, for DraftKings to give them the highest win total protection of the NFC South shows confidence in Todd Bowles' team.

We will see if that confidence is misplaced.
