Bracket: Section 2 hockey tournament results, schedule

The Section 2 hockey playoffs are underway.

Shenendehowa is the No. 1 seed for the Division 1 tournament. Queensbury is the lone Section 2 team at the Division 2 level and will advance to the state tournament. A year ago, Shenendehowa and Queensbury each advanced to the state tournament and lost in the semifinals at LECOM Harborcenter in Buffalo.

During the regular season, Shenendehowa compiled a 13-0 mark in Capital District High School Hockey League action. Overall, Shenendehowa finished the regular season at 17-2-1.

Camren Mance, of the Hawks, finished as the top goal scorer in Section 2. The Niskayuna senior registered 36 goals. He also had an area-best 52 points.

While early games take place on home ice for the higher seeds in the 10-team tournament, the Division 1 semifinals and championship game take place at M&T Bank Center in Schenectady. The championship game is set for March 2.
