· Yahoo Sports

Miami’s Francis Mauigoa is a pure right tackle and a phenomenal pass protector. He has a massive build, outstanding anchor ability, and can stop a pass rusher in their tracks.

In addition to his pass protection skills, he can run block with excellent movement for his size, and he finishes his blocks to help open space for ball carriers.

He can get to the next level with ease and has hit 20 miles per hour when clocked. He finished the 2025 season with a pass-blocking grade of 87.0, first among collegiate right tackles, and a run-blocking grade of 77.1 according to PFF.

  • Weight: 335 pounds

Fit for Miami

At the moment, Austin Jackson is the Dolphins' right tackle. However, consistency and health have always been issues for the former first-round pick. In his six seasons in Miami, Jackson has hit 17 games played just once. Over the last two seasons, he has missed 20 regular season games.

Jackson is set to become a free agent in 2027, and rumors have circulated that he could be a trade candidate for new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan. Cutting bait with Jackson, adding draft capital in his place, and replacing him with Mauigoa could make for a major win.

Mauigoa on the right side, a bookend to Patrick Paul, could help the Miami offensive trenches take on the toughness and physicality that Sullivan and new head coach Jeff Hafley are aiming to create.

Bottom line

It's a slim chance that Mauigoa is still available at No. 11, but the thought of him staying in Miami after three years as a Hurricane is enticing. He played his prep ball at Florida’s powerhouse IMG, so staying in state again is a fun bonus as well.

Mauigoa won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy, which awards the ACC’s best offensive lineman, and he was also First Team All-ACC and a consensus All-American. As consistent as can be, he never missed a game and made 42 straight starts. During Miami’s impressive postseason run, he didn’t allow a single sack and had zero penalties over four games.

Mauigoa can bring some sorely needed physicality to the Miami offensive line, and he could be a decade-long fixture on the right side should his name not be called in the top 10 picks. That would be a shock and a godsend for the Dolphins.
