The Coyotes are now 10-2 in the Summit League. They sit second in the conference standings and own the second longest win streak.
USD scored just two points in the first ten minutes. They went 1-14 from the field, shooting just 7% and falling behind 13-2.
They’d turn the tides in the second quarter. They shot 50% and scored 20 points to cut the deficit to four at the break.
USD built a three point lead with a minute to go in the fourth, but a Tierra Trotter three tied the game with 45 seconds left. Both teams missed a shot after that, leading to overtime.
The Roos led by four with 3:24 to go in overtime, but that’s when USD got hot. They used an 11-0 run to storm back and take a seven point lead with ten second left.
USD is off Saturday. They’ll host Omaha on Thursday, February 19 at 7 p.m.
